A Note on Fall

Mustard Yellow

Fall always seems to be a time of reflection for me. Whether it’s a calmer schedule after the buzz of summer activities or just pure acknowledgement that we’re in the homestretch to the end of the year, I have always believed that life starts all over again when it gets crisp (thank ya F. Scott Fizgerald).

And WHAT a year it’s been. Highs and Lows all over the place (I know that sounds so dramatic), but so far 2018 has been a huge growth year for me. Aside from big shifts in my business life, I’ve had tremendous opportunities and learnings that have made me decide a change in the blog might be necessary. What THAT necessary is, I’m not quite sure just yet but I’ve been quietly pondering it once the chaos of summer slowed down.

Fall

But one thing I do know, life at 37 isn’t all puppies and rainbows, free clothes and fun events. I mean, yes I am very fortunate to attend and experience so many things, but the truth is my life is just as gritty and many of the times mundane as the next. I started this blog at 30 with zero expectations and direction and that quickly turned into showcasing my love for fashion and style. As with life, things change and evolve after 7 years and now I’m finding it harder and harder to be motivated to share and write JUST about fashion or how to decorate your house for the holidays. All fun stuff that still motivates me, but I’m increasingly interested to lift the veil and share some of my learnings from the tougher parts of life with topics I think we all could attest to at one time or another. Things such as Health, Business, maybe even Dating? EEK

I know at the beginning of the year I declared there would be a rebrand of C&C in 2018, it’s just been a slow evolution to understand the path I want to take next! So thank you for your patience with my lack of posts. I so appreciate the community I’ve got here with the blog and I hope each of you is finding renewal in this fall season. Can’t wait to share with you, what’s to come…
