Accessory Crush of the Week- Steampunk Funk

I first stumbled upon Angie Lawlar’s designs when I was reading her blog about life in Juneau, Alaska. In addition to her blog, Angie also creates some amazing jewellery out of salvaged and recycled materials. Steampunk Funk has unique, eclectic designs through the use of recycled materials delivering something fresh and edgy. My personal favourite is the barn nail and diamond ring, a statement piece. I love Angie’s quote in her bio as she refers to the materials she uses, “What they see as broken I see as having great character and a fantastic story.”

In a world of mass produced goods, I am in love with the philosophy of making something old, new again and the fact it looks this great, even better! Please keep it up Angie! Below are some of Angie’s favourite pieces. To see further designs check out her Blog, and Etsy Shop (Steampunk Funk) then make sure to like her on the facebook page!
