Bachelor Ménage à Trois

I know you are reading the title of this post thinking, “she’s gone a little too far with watching the Bachelor”, but no I am not as obsessive as our reality friend Michelle, I just picked a wine that  I could share with two men tonight since it is Valentine’s day- Gary and Brad (but please don’t tell Gary). The night started off lovely, we made a great dinner of dijon crusted beef tenderloin with caramelized balsamic onions, mushroom risotto and a spinach and apple salad- topped off with chocolate ganache. The pics are attached,  I fear we did not eat poorly.

Back to the wine du jour, Ménage à Trois is from the Folie a Deux Winery, and it has been a personal favourite for years. About 8 years ago you couldn’t find this in Canada let alone in stores like Western Cellars. But now you can find it abundantly for around $16. The great thing about this red is it is a table wine, so a mix of Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet- hence the Menage a Trois. It’s an easy drinking red, and goes great with a number of things.
