Bridgetown and Back

The Jetsetter brings us a post on one of her favourite destinations, Barbados:

“Not everyone is lucky enough to travel the world and get paid to do it, but I am. One of my favorite layovers is Barbados. A great place to visit while on island time is Oistins which is a busy fishing town. In the evening the area is bustling with friendly locals and tourist alike. They are famous for their fish fry’s and their even more irresistible macaroni pie, wash that down with the locally made Mount Gay Rum and you have a great start to a fun night of debauchery. Next we take the party to the St. Lawrence Gap. Filled with hopping bars and restaurants, this is the place to be. We normally end up at McBrides which is both a restaurant and later in the evening turns into a hopping club. They have the best live bands and those crazy barbadian boys sure know how to dance. In the morning I like to work off the rum with a walk on the beach board walks and end up at a charming curry cafe for lunch. Not a bad way to make a living.”
