Camp Life

Through my series of posts on our trip with Redstone Trophy hunts in the Northwest Territories I’ve tried to show everyone the overall experience of the trip and not just the hunt itself. I probably described the life at our camp best when I wrote in my moleskin journal,

Today we experienced the tradition of sheep ribs on an open fire, along with the fish we had caught that day and a hearty roast. I’ve never seen such an abundance of meat! My visions of being whittled away this trip are far from being true as I’ve been fed more here than I ever would at home! They seem insistent on comfort even out here in the backwoods, as one of the cooks is busy making cookies and buns in the wood fired oven, topping off the long lazy day…

BBQ Galore!

Thanks so much Cathryn! Unfortunately out of all my photos I never got any of the northern lights, I was too lazy to get out of my sleeping bag!
