Cashmere and Camo

Cashmere & Camo

Know thyself, I believe it’s truly one of the best parts of getting older. I feel way more comfortable in my skin at this age than I did in my twenties and I’m way less apologetic about what makes me… well me. Creating the blog has made me realize this even more. I know now I will always be a little bit cashmere and a little bit camo. I like to talk about hunting, hate golf and have learned that business can not be taken personally. On the same breath I will obsess over a pair of gorgeous shoes, am overly vain about my hair yet can’t bring myself to spend money on cosmetics because I think it’s a luxury versus a need.

I have no idea what’s to come in my future and though the years have made me realize I can’t change fundamentally who I am, I know I can always improve and that’s what makes the journey all the more exciting to me….

Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend.

From Housewife to Hunter

Well Said. I feel the same way in my thirties… No apologizes for who I am or what I believe. And to think this feeling and way of living will only become stronger.

I completely agree! If we continue to embrace what makes us, “us” I think the best is yet to come.

Yes, I TOTALLY agree! You sound like another ‘me’! Overly vain about my hair, don’t spend enough on cosmetics or other face stuff, even though I should probably look after my skin a little more than just slapping on sunscreen and washing it before bed… And I wear a lot of camo – would hunt every weekend if I could. And I love love love boots and shoes. I have a blog too, but am still trying to find my voice so I can connect with people who are truly ‘my people’… seems like you have with this post, for me! Lovely to meet you 🙂

Brandy

Thanks Mariska! Lovely to meet you as well and I agree, pink and camo is so overdone and unnecessary. We kick ass without it 😉 Can’t wait to see more from your blog!

Mariska

Thanks! I’m redesigning it right now, and it’s not going as I had hoped 😛 Using a new theme, which looks like it has a slider at the top like yours actually!
