DIY Christmas Candles

Christmas Candles

Every year I’m inspired to craft some part of my Christmas Decor. Last year I took on snow globes and this year I decided to try my hand at candles. First I collected some vintage tumblers and preserve jars. I spray painted some either bronze or silver glitter.

Next up you can buy microwaveable soy or bees wax at crafts stores such as Micheals. Make sure you get the right type of wick for the wax you are using, otherwise your candles might not burn that well.

Wanted scented or coloured wax? Here’s the fun part. I tried a variety of essential oils and scented wax blocks. You can actually find a winter woodlands essential oil at most health stores which is fantastic but you must add quite a lot to get a fragrant candle. So an alternative is to add scented wax melts. Add as much or as little as you like. The key to this dead simple DIY is experiment and have fun! It’s an inexpensive and pretty addition to any holiday table or mantle.

It is dead simple with microwaveable wax and once you determine how much scent you like it’s off to the races!
