Faux Vacation Glow

Faux Vacation Glow

First thing’s first, by no means am I a makeup/beauty blogger but because I’ve been spending 10-12 hours a day under fluorescent lights, I feel I’ve got a pretty good handle on faking a summer glow. I love my skin after a bit of sun and fresh air and so I try and replicate the glow even during the work week.  As I’ve mentioned before, my beauty routine is very simplistic as it has to be when I’m running out of the house bleary eyed, early mornings. Due to my sensitive skin, that seems to be once again changing thanks to age and hormones, I’ve fallen in love with Pacifica skin care products. Sulfate free and organic, the makeup is easy going on my break-out prone skin.

Faux Glow Step By Step

Ok so here is my 5 minute routine for a I just got back from the beach look:

1. I apply the Radiant CC Cream, it evens out my skin tone and has SPF 17 in it which is even a must do if you are sitting in the office all day, those pesky UV rays are everywhere.

2. Line the top of the lids with the smoldering eye gel- for a more natural or daytime look, only line the top of the lids.

3. Highlight the brow-bone and inner creases of the eyes with the champagne/pale pink shadow to brighten the eyes. For a summertime beach look, I like using a gold or bronze shadow on the lid for a more natural look.

4. Apply highlighter with a large brush to the center of the forehead, cheekbones, bridge of nose and chin. Dot on blush to the apples of the cheeks.

5. Slap on some Mascara and Lip Balm with a hint of coral or pink (I love the Pacifica lip balm because it smells like coconuts which helps me pretend I’m going on vacation).

Thanks Crystal! I’m not a makeup fiend but I’m slowly learning, maybe next it will be a bold lip 🙂
