Friday Favs

Well heck, another Friday’s here! This week has been full of fun and chaos, as we are busy kicking off some new projects and still on the lookout for a place out in the country. I also did my annual duty as G2’s personal shopper/fashion consultant (yes he hates shopping, hence the infrequent missions to find clothes) We managed to wrestle with some choices and G2’s disappointment that they stopped making pleated pants (you just can’t teach an old dog new trends)  🙂  We also found some FUN graphic t-shirts at GAP, so everyone went home with a smile.

I’m also excited for Monday, Oct 1st, because I’m kicking off a special giveaway with Langston’s Western Wear. Here’s a sneak peek of what it’s about…

Girls just wanna have fun! I finally got together with a group of my lovely ladies and to mourn the potential national bacon crisis we had this Bacon Maple Ale… In theory it sounded like a great idea, and smelled very much like Maple Bacon… however the aftertaste might be described as a campfire flavour with a side of smoke? The bottle was too fun not to share though.

And finally FALL IS HERE, while I haven’t been able to find the time to get out elk hunting, I’ve been busy putting in whitetails stands and savouring the few last indian summer days riding Okie outside. The weatherman is calling for flurries next week, so I’m just going to soak in this view as long as I can.

TGIF Everyone!

BRANDY! this post was full of awesomeness! That photo of you is absolutely stunning! Love the colors in the last photo as well. Life is good, isn’t it?

I’m also super pumped to hear about you looking for a place in the country. Nothing feels more right in the world when you are happy & comfortable in your home—in your surroundings. Don’t settle for something-hold out for exactly what you want. It will all fall together!

Thanks Cheyenne! I was lucky to have a wonderful photographer and with the fall colours we had last week I don’t think we could have went wrong on a photo. As for the place in the country, I should start a blog series, we have been looking for 2 YEARS!! Yikes I know, it’s a roller coaster to find an affordable property in southern Alberta that still allows you to commute to work. I have been hoping and praying that “our place” will eventually show up for us to buy so we can live in a place that is more suited to us.
