Gone Junkin’

Cozy for Vintage Shopping~ Boots from Ruche, Cashmere Cape from Winners, Cashmere Sweater from Lucky Jeans, Rayban Sunglasses

I’ll admit, I’m not a DIY goddess and I’m slowly increasing my aptitude for vintage finds for both the home and clothes. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post I am trying to tackle our office’s. A masculine, lodge type feel for G2 and a girly retreat for me. After a few noted suggestions on where to find housewares from The Farmer’s Trophy Wife and Urban Country Style, I set out with my bestie to Bragg Creek.

The outfit of the day was a cozy mix of cashmere sweater and poncho mixed with lace up boots, skinny jeans and a long feather and beaded pendant. With all the neutrals, I decided to add a pop of colour with this red bag.

One of my favourites, a mix of neutrals with a pop of colour

Love this feather and beaded pendant

The goal of the junkin’ expedition was to find some unique table lamps. I’m finding these extremely difficult to find. What we did come back with was an antique Singer’s dress form from the 1920’s and an old oil lantern. As usual I have already named the dress form “Molly”, she is already sitting in my office waiting to be positioned and you might see her in the Emporium page on C&C coming up. I’m very excited to have these pieces and could see this becoming a more frequent outing.

Well you looked amazing. And what fun finds!! I am almost ready to wrap myself in newspaper and glue to make a dress form! Can’t wait to see your new office.

They are so hard to find, and for a good price I might add! I was wincing looking at Ebay and other Etsy stores and the prices they wanted for them! Thanks so much, can’t wait to get it all done!

Love it all! Especially the pop of color…and your Molly and my Stella need to sit down for a glass of wine together 😉

I love the poncho, it looks so cozy & stylish all in one. Oh & the lantern looks lovely too. I’m actually looking into options for new lighting in a closet of mine, I love the vintage look of the lantern.
