Morning Coffee

Waking up early is in my DNA, as a teenager being part of a family that got up at the crack of dawn was seemingly annoying, but the older I got as much as I fought it a sleep in for me constitutes 7 am. Most days I’m up around 5:30ish and have come to truly love this quiet part of my day. It’s a time for me, to think, to write and organize my thoughts and plans for the day. Granted I usually don’t love a lot of conversation during this time, but isn’t that the point? So when looking for a home, it was important to me to visualize where I would spend this “morning coffee” time. The back deck is perfect for this and on colder days a fireplace to pit in beside. My caffeine ritual is not only a luxury, it’s a necessity now. A time to reflect and get centered for the day and even if I’ve had a late night, I gladly get up to enjoy this time and recharge. What about you? Are you a Morning Person or Night Owl? What other benefits have you seen from giving yourself an extra hour in the mornings?

Agreed! Morning person for sure. Can’t wait until my hubby retires so my getting up early during the week doesn’t involve making a lunch and getting him off to work before I can just sit and have my coffee.
