Out In the Woods

I’ve been wanting to share this outdoor look for awhile now, problem was it was a secret shoot I did back in April for the summer edition of Dirt Road Daughters Magazine, for an article discussing fashion that can transition from field to street.

I thought I’d be shelving these Hunter boots for the summer, but we’ve had so much rain, they seem to be a daily staple in my life right now. They live in the back of my car and have followed me into the office a few times. And I always love layering a vest over tee or shirt for the bi-polar weather patterns we seem to get in Southern Alberta. Lastly the hat? A classic Woolrich treasure my dad picked out for me, it’s great at the barn or standing in a stream, it’s gets lots of use on my weekends.

Love the whole look…especially because you can wear this in town for a Saturday shopping excursion as well as out in the woods. And your article was FANTASTIC!

Thanks so much Suzie! My first article ever (I’m not counting the one I did in grade 3 for the newspaper on the Exxon Valdez spill 🙂 I loved yours too! You are so gifted at Home Decor, hoping that reading UCS will rub off on me 😉
