Road Trip

We put on many miles this week to travel to South Dakota for a spring turkey hunt and experienced some great things and met some wonderful people. I haven’t seen many turkeys ever in my life as in SD. Also it was my first time hunting out of ground blind which provided some humour at my detriment to others (story to follow with the turkey  post). Along with turkeys, other highlights included getting up close and personal with some black bear cubs, Mount Rushmore and visits to cool boutiques which I was held to a strict 15 minute limit on each to try and keep to the tight travel schedule, funny thing was that never seemed to happen at Cabelas… TGIF everyone, my adventure continues tomorrow as we hop a long flight to the land of Australia, I’ll be keeping you updated with some fun posts!

Mount Rushmore, much smaller than I thought it would be...

Our hunting accommodation, I swear Junk Gypsy designed this place!

Ok, I have a lot to say….! After following you on pinterest and Facebook for awhile I was excited to see that you were in South Dakota turkey hunting….now I see te photo of you next to a truck with Alaska plates…which is where I am originally from! I’m a transplant and have lived in South Dakota for about 5 years now….I have to know more about the Alaska license plates! Looks like you had a good time in SD and I’m exited to read more about your trip!

Hi Samara! The Alaskan plate has gotten lots of comments, I’m from Alberta but we only require a back plate, therefore we can put another on the front which isn’t required legally. G2 got this from Alaska and it had been sitting in the house and we decided the yellow went nicely with the blue. The short of it is I wish I had both Alaskan plates because it is beautiful up there!
