This year I’m determined to take in as much of the summer weather as possible. With the additional yard work on the acreage, it’s safe to say my uniform these last few weeks has been this summer camo. I’m really digging high waisted shorts- especially the ever classic Levi 501’s, paired with a buttery soft vintage wash tee or tank (I have bought like 4 of these tee’s in different colors). I’m going to try and take advantage of this combo for the next 5- 6 weekends. And speaking of yard work, I wanted to show off some of the success I’ve been having so far. Last year this entire bank behind me was Canadian Thistle, in my previous life as a silviculturist, I immediately cringed when touring the property but after A LOT of pulling and NO chemicals, we have it back to looking like a natural state. The raspberries and strawberries this year are unbelievable and flourishing without all those dang thistles! I’ve loved watching the property change through the seasons and even though I’ll cherish the next month or so of summer, I know the best is yet to come with the glory of fall colors in the foothills.
