Turquoise and Cold Shoulders

Mackage Shearling Jacket-old | Cold Shoulder Top | Turquoise Jewellery | Belt Buckle- Old

I remember my first piece of turquoise jewelry, a bracelet that my dad had brought back from Turkey after a hunting trip. Prior to that I’d get my turquoise fix by raiding my mom’s jewellery box. Following that he found a stunning pendant in Santa Fe and I was hooked. Over the years I’ve collected more turquoise, sometimes wondering if I should branch out and try other stones but the road always leads me back to my true blue (or green in some cases…).

And that’s why I’m layering it on with this super soft and comfy cold shoulder top that I picked up on sale at the Hudson’s Bay. When it’s chilly out, it’s hard to stay warm and feel a little sexy all at the same time, but this shirt seems to pull it off. And I had to pull out one of my favourite jackets, a Toscana style shearling I splurged on eons ago and it still holds up like it’s brand new. Plus if it’s -40 out, I’ve never found a warmer jacket in my life, which just holds up my theory that jackets and boots are the two things to spring for with clothing because they will last you forever, and if you’re warm and comfy you’ll always feel like heading outside!

Love this combo! and how brave were you to be out without your coat in this subzero weather we are having here in Southern Alberta. Good for you!
