Charming Cancun

“Sparking waters, talcum white sand with a hardy party atmosphere,
Cancun is the place to get yourself into some full-time shenanigans. I
only get a few trips to this local a year so when I go I find myself caught
up in the hype. A typical trip takes us to the beach in time for cerveza’s, dinner at Mextremes and dancing at Coco Bongo. But this one was different as we had an adventurous crew that took us to the downtown core with a quick bus trip to the city centre square. With live music, locals dancing and children playing, the scene was jovial and wholesome. We snaked through the street where we happened upon a Mexican restaurant (I draw a blank on the name), the food was authentic and fresh. I had Chile Rellenos and Chicken Fajitas. There was a mariachi band which wooed myself and my crew onto the dance floor with traditional  music. We finished the night with street food. What is better than churros?  We ventured off the typical tourist path and found a Cancun that is far more traditional and cultural, and left me excited to venture further into the city beyond all the party hype.”
