Weekend Warrior

Weekend Warrior 5I’ve admitted before I have tendency to be a weekend warrior. With long hours at a desk during the week, I have been having a hard time finding a proper schedule to fit in routine fitness. This has become a vicious circle because once at home, after dinner has been made and all other chores out of the way, I’ll make lots of excuses in my head of why I can’t or won’t get off my butt and get in some calisthenics.  This rut carried on for most of the winter, and made me feel overall just BLAH.

And so in the last two weeks I’ve gotten some motivation back, which is one part Olympic enthusiasm and the rest because I fell in love with some Camo runners. I know, to a die hard fitness enthusiast this seems like the lamest form of motivation, but at least it’s a start. Slipping into some camo I’m heading out of my rut and working towards creating my fitness goals for the rest of the year. Whether it’s taking the time to walk to and from work or get in a quick 20 minute routine, it feels great to get moving again!
