Workwear Wednesday

Sometimes it’s tricky to dress for business travel. I personally hate being in a suit on a plane for any length of time. The wrinkles, the feeling of travel grim can leave me feeling frazzled and uncomfortable. That’s why I always pick an easy, wrinkle free garment. Preferably a comfortably cut dress and shoes to avoid all the swelling that can go on when you are travelling for work. Throw a casual jacket on (to avoid more wrinkles) during flight so you have something to change into if you are staying overnight and a classic but roomy bag to carry any documents, laptop or note book so you can avoid the briefcase + purse nightmare, making your trip so much simpler.

Here’s a picture of that exact situation. I had an early morning flight to catch to be at meetings that day. When I got to my destination, I changed the jean jacket out for a blazer and the flat sandals for a pair of heels. Accessorize to match the upgrade and voila! You are meeting ready even though you desperately need a cup of coffee as you can see here 🙂

Dress? Simons, Denim Jacket? Thrifted 7 for Mankind, Shoes? Nine West-Gilt, Bag? Let’s just say it’s a long story

Thanks! It’s a lot easier to get ready at 3 am when you don’t have a ton of makeup to throw on.

Thanks so much! The great thing is the jacket was $7 and the dress $28, which is what I love, finding cute things at a steal!
