We met a new acquaintance about a week ago and the man is a falconer. He is an avid upland bird hunter but instead of guns he uses his dogs and trained falcons. He even has a fancy cargo box built in his truck to transport them. I have always loved raptors, birds of prey. I think the little Kestrals are my favourite but I when I am out riding I love the sight of the hawks soaring overhead in the fields hunting.
So trust me to find a way to spin fashion into this. One of my favorite designers, Ralph Lauren created a modern bohemian look for his Fall 2011-2012 collection. I imagine that if I were a falconer, this is what it should be! The look is very dramatic but I’m having a whimsical, wishful weekend so today I want to be a Falconer (of course only in RL get ups).

I looooove these outfits. RL stuff is so beautiful and classic. I don’t know about the falconing part… then I would have to be screaming and running away from the bird and I would wreck all my lovely clothes…
I agree, maybe I would just try it for a day sporting the duds. You just put the image of a falcon attack in my head though and I have to admit, it’d be pretty funny!
