I love stumbling across a new artist or designer and finding what I think is a wonderful product for the first time. So a few weeks back when Goin Western suggested for people to check out JM Designz, I was delighted to see Jessica’s beautiful leather work. After agreeing to be this weeks accessory crush, I asked Jessica to give us some background on herself and her inspiration for her jewellery:
“I was born and raised country, in the farmland area of Miami, FL. So I guess you can say I have a bit of both worlds, the country and the city life. A couple of years ago, I decided to take a break from my Pastry Chef Career, to spend more time with my family. And as a part-time hobby, I started creating leather jewelry. I started wearing my jewelry to all the local Trail Rides and Competitions, it really took off from there into a full-time thing. Some of my inspiration come from my love for horses and all things country. I love working with leather, I think it’s the way it feels and smells, just makes me feel ..well, good inside. Of course when I’m not making jewelry you can find me in the kitchen, baking up a sweet storm! I really love what I do, and I hope everyone enjoys my unique country inspired Jewelry as mush as I enjoy making each and every piece.”
