If people are wondering what’s happened to me and why I’ve seemed to drop off the earth in the last couple weeks, maybe in part I can blame it on my inspiration for this year’s back yard/living space that I’ve dubbed project 50 Shades of Blue.
Back in April I quietly started gathering some outdoor decor and accessories that morphed into an array of blues (apparently I now know my favourite colour), however once I pulled it all out from hiding I had no idea what I was thinking or how in the heck it was all going to fit together. Not to mention my sudden lapse in memory at my DIY ineptness and also deciding staining and painting furniture had become a great idea in the scheme of things. So while I struggle away and head over to Home Depot for what will be trip #5, I am sharing some of my outdoor living inspiration that has become my personal hell. However I have faith it will all come together at which point I can share my 50 Shades project, or just have a beer. I can guarantee one of the two will be happening…
How about some strategically planting some mosquito repelling plants, or even some that attract butterflies (Image from Our Home Sweet Home) Later on this week I’ll tell you some tricks on how to increase biodiversity in your landscaping.
Add some ambience with string lights! This idea from Bright July.
I have an abundance of blue accents from pillow, throws, outdoor serving dishes & maybe even a gnome 🙂

I love all of your outdoor inspirations. Good luck!
Thanks so much Leeann! It’s been a work in process and hopefully all done this week!
