Tis’ the season for consuming calories! In the midst of eggnog and all sorts of decadent drink choices, I was looking for a lighter after dinner option. I found a chocolate chai tea at the grocery store and decided to create a Bailey Chai. It’s spicy and sweet with the hint of peppermint making it feel festive. It’s dangerously good, so much that this might even push my beloved coffee and irish cream to the side for the holidays. Now time to get back to helping Santa wrap those gifts…
Bailey’s Chai
- Boil water and steep a pot of regular chai or chocolate chai tea
- For one mug add 2 oz. Bailey’s or Irish Cream
- Add 1/2 oz. Peppermint Schnapps
- Scoop heated whipped milk on top and garnish with chocolate flakes or peppermint sticks.
- Enjoy!
