Blue Velvet Dress | Tassle Choker | Bling Choker
Well a new year and a fresh perspective! I’ll admit, I’m a bit behind when it comes to things like podcasts… living in the country there is no such thing as unlimited wifi so priorities and allocations to Netflix generally takes over! But in December I’ve been listening to STYLISH– a podcast hosted by babe Tara Trask that focuses on all things western style. In one of the episodes (is that what you call them?), the topic of velvet came up.
Listening on some of the hot trends predicted for 2017 in western fashion, velvet is still coming on strong, so when I found this blue velvet dress as a potential for New Years, I had to see if I could come to love this trend. Luckily for me, this maxi style didn’t need to be hemmed and was so comfy to cover all those extra holiday pounds I’ve accumulated. I also couldn’t resist some chokers on sale from boxing day to complete this cheeky look. And sorry for the cheese, but I felt a little Marilyn so I had to blow a kiss to the camera as well 😉
