bomb·shell
Noun
1. An overwhelming surprise or disappointment: “the news came as a bombshell”
2. A very attractive woman: “a blonde bombshell”
When Ms. Danielle from Bombshell by Day started sign-up for Bombshell Bootcamp, I instantly went to this definition and said, well at least there is a 50/50 chance that I could end up bombshell ready for spring. Which I feel I need desperately. Maybe it’s the winter blues or my pasty white skin, but I’m feeling far from sexy these days. And when I answered Danielle’s questions on why I wanted to partake in the boot camp, it was for a variety of reasons; to try something new, feel glamorous and maybe make some changes and take some risks. Because as Danielle has expressed, being a bombshell isn’t just about the exterior finishings, you have to walk the talk.
So what have I done so far to kick-start my bombshell challenge?
- Purged my closet and got rid of anything that is ill-fitting or doesn’t make me feel good when I’m wearing it and no sweatpants are not a consideration
- I went and splurged on some new cosmetics, something I never do (have to admit it was kinda fun)
- Purged my underwear drawer. The ancient granny panties and bras with non-existent elastics or support hit the road! Next step is to go shopping for some new ones and book myself for a bra-fitting session to make sure I’m even wearing the right size.
- I’m still defining what my BIG GOAL is… Danielle challenged each and every one of us to think of one big goal; something we’ve always wanted to do or a change we’ve wanted to make. The goal is to put the wheels in motion over the next 12 weeks and work to that Bombshell goal.
Want to join in? Head over to Bombshell Bootcamp to sign up, then wait for your daily marching orders from Ms. Danielle. I promise she won’t make you run 5 miles at 6 am, but there may be red lipstick or stripper poles involved 🙂
