Guys, today I’m so very excited to introduce you to Cedar & Sage Farm and the creative talent and owner behind it, Lindsey Jepson. The funnier bit of kismet, our paths had crossed a few years before (sort of), when I viewed a home she and her husband had renovated. It was divine- Modern Farmhouse with all the right finishing touches, it was as if HGTV had designed a home specifically for me! All I told my realtor was- “Find me that designer”.
Well as fate would have it, we came together to collaborate on a little photoshoot at the new Cedar & Sage Farm, where they are working on their newest project- a renovation of a 1980’s farmhouse and she chronicles her experiences on her blog. Not to mention the amazing marketplace, of carefully curated homegoods. The intent being items that can blend and work together with other home designs from Boho vibes to Industrial elements.
When asked about the motivation behind Cedar & Sage, Lindsey’s says, “We had not been able to find Brick and Mortar stores in Canada that sold the same ‘feel’ of accents that we see in our favourite HGTV shows. When ordering online it was proving to be a great cost or many of the retailers didn’t ship to Canada. We wanted to bridge the gap for people who were looking for simple but unique items- be they casual bags or a wooden bowl to use as an accent here in Canada. Our goal as a marketplace is to offer a wide variety of casual everyday pieces that make you feel good about the space you are in. These have been curated from as far as the handpicked wooden milking stools (seen below) all the way from small farming villages in China to right here in Calgary”.
While Cedar & Sage marketplace is only a few months old, make sure you head over and follow them on social media and be prepared for lots of new items and updates. I for one got a sneak preview of some of the items and believe me, you truly won’t want to miss them! And if you want to find them in person if you are local to Calgary and area, you can see them popping up at The Bar Wellness and Fitness in Olds, Alberta on Oct 14th. They will also be available at Whitebull Clothing for a fun Christmas shopping evening in the town of High River, Alberta on Dec 1st to coincide with the Santa Claus Parade.
Last but not least- the FARM!! O.M.G the animals at Cedar & Sage Farm are so cute and guess what, some of these barnyard babies are for sale! From baby donkey’s, goats, bunnies and pigs- it was so much fun getting to experience all these creatures. I literally wanted to take them all home, from the playful nature of the goats to the super sweet breed of KuneKune pig, that sit and follow you around like a dog, all these guys steal your heart. I for one was trying to get Murphy the little buckling to come home with me, but that Alberta tank did and is so comfy and cute as a layering piece with a chunky cardigan this fall.
A big Thanks to Lindsey at Cedar & Sage Farm for letting us play for the day and get to know their world. Make sure to follow along with these guys because I have a hunch they are going to do some big things!
Cuteness overload with the new baby donkey!
