This week between Christmas and New Years is always a blur for me. I rarely know what day I’m on, can’t count the number of days my hair is on dry shampoo or when I last changed out of my sweatsuit #ootd for reasonable adult attire. And when compared to the blur of the busy season I mean, the days all melt into one delicious mess of reading, reorganizing and setting priorities for the New Year.
Despite my reprieve from heading out in the general public during these last few days, I have been quietly scouting Boxing Day sales from the comfort of my couch. One of my favorite finds this fall, a chain printed shirt dress from Zara is on sale! It’s an elegant, timeless piece that I have been able to transition from the office to evening events. Now that it’s winter, I found it’s still versatile with a fur vest and some Over the Knee boots. It ticks all my boxes when I’m shopping these days, something that sends a statement but has lots of run room over the seasons and through the day to day requirements in my life.

I always do a closet purge during the slower winter months and my goal for 2019 is to continue to curate my closet with the intention that less is more with pieces that still allow me to be creative and evolve my style. I’m excited to share with you guys if I’m able to achieve that.
But for now, I’m going to soak in a little more of the downtime before the work schedule kicks back into gear for the New Year and enjoy some of this beautiful holiday weather we’ve been getting!
