We started September started off with some big changes!  After many months of discussion and looking, we decided to mix things up and move the office out of the city to the countryside. After being downtown for 15 years, it was a move that brought lots of mixed emotions, but overall the positives have far outweighed the negatives. One of the bigger questions for me is the ever evolving office dress code as we step out even further into the world of casual work attire.  I mean, what’s mandatory for office days when I don’t have attend client meetings?

So I’ve come to the conclusion that anything I would wear to meet a friend or colleague for a coffee date applies. Mixing up denim with a detailed blouse and structured bag seems to fit the bill of being appropriate for public and just casual enough for the office. I just always make sure the blouse is capable of crossing over to a more formal setting with a suit and dress pants. And as a rule this fall, I think a structured hat is accessory to add to any outfit and cover up that messy hair.  And I’m giving up my slouchy hobo bags for some more ladylike structure, which seems kinda contradictory given the diminishing structure in my daily life… But that’s just me I guess, a never ending conundrum 😉
