Winter in our part of the world can be known to draaaaaggggg on for months, with seasonal depression hitting me hardest in February. What can be worse is the numerous Chinooks we get that can literally take the temperature from -20 to 5 degrees within hours. This makes dressing accordingly tricky none the less. So this weekend I combated mother n’s nasty mood swings with this outfit. With the gusty winds, rain, sleet and bursts of sun I feel I had the correct formula layering a cozy cashmere poncho with my distressed denim (DIY on the blog later this week!) and my new favourite booties that I practically stole online during the Hudson Bay Company’s winter sale. And it wouldn’t be a complete Chinook-proof outfit without a ponytail and LOTS of firm hold hairspray!

LOVE that poncho!
Thanks Shelagh!
I’m loving the poncho too! Have a neutral colored one that my daughter asked what it was the other day! I just know that if made well, comes back in style!! I love the surprise pop of color in your new booties! I also think your necklace is great!
