Gunnar and I are keeping it cute and casual in this pink sweater I found on mega sale at Joe Fresh, (click here for similar style or here for colour.)
This is the time of year where I always seem to go through a “fashion purge” and step back to the basics. I clean out and organize my closet, try not to indulge in those mega sales happening in January and re-style as much of my wardrobe as possible. It’s not to say when you find a classic sweater in a colour you love for $10, you don’t indulge a little, but for the most part I’m slow jumping out of the gate every new year as far as fashion is concerned.
It’s also a great time to go through your wardrobe and consider what can be taken to consignment stores if you don’t think it’s still viable in your closet. I have taken and bought clothes from consignment stores for years. Case in point I found these Frye boots, virtually brand new for under $100!!
So I want to know, do you ever set fashion resolutions in the January? If so, what are they? To purge your closet, take more risk? Buy less? Whatever it is you’re doing, I hope you’re having fun with it. To me that’s the whole point of fashion, enjoy the process of being creative with your own style!
