Now that my hectic domestic schedule is winding down, I’m getting itchy feet to go somewhere. Aviatrix and I usually reserve one trip a year for the girls (being best friends with an airline pilot has it’s perks). She has been spending a lot of time in New York, which I am dying to go do (One goal is to get some photos in Central Park wearing cowboy boots, another to skate in Rockefeller centre at Christmas). However another favourite spot of mine is Quebec City, which she has never been and I am subtly suggesting. I used to work in the province and adore the European charm of the “old town” and would love to spend a weekend back there enjoying some restaurants with the beautiful fall colours which is pretty much non existent on the west side of the country.
If you are planning a trip to Quebec, I highly recommend visiting Quebec City- it’s quieter and slower than the bustling metropolis of Montreal, but there is a very elegant undertone that makes it ok to settle in at a bistro- enjoy a huge cappuccino and watch the world go by. Something I think us Albertan’s have a hard time doing. Also only 2 days left for my Modern Cowgirl Cuff giveaway, don’t forget to enter!
