As mentioned before, I’m a texture girl. Which means when I shop, I touch and when I find something soft…well let’s just say it might follow me home. So naturally I love the look of fur, real or faux I’m an unbiased participant. Even as I write this post I have a fluffy ragdoll cat playing with the pompoms on the mukluks I have on.
This season we are seeing a revival in the fur look. From boots, coats and accessories it’s a great investment piece to add some flair to any winter outfit. The great thing is the faux fur being produced is looking so realistic and luxe, it’s hard to tell if it’s not real. Below I’ve picked some of my favourite pieces that are great adds to create a comfy, cozy winter vibe. In fact as we go down the list let’s play the real or fake game, you guess which one it is for each item!
Cory Jacket from Fossil
This 50’s revival from Fossil is a sweetheart jacket that you can pair with holiday dress wear or casually with some jeans and boots. The great thing is the price because this little faux jacket is such a classic with the wide collar that it can make appearances for years to come.
Gap Cowlneck Scarf
Stores like the Gap and Joe Fresh have great faux fur accessories including scarfs and hats to bring some cuddliness to your outfit. It’s a great way to put some drama into an everyday wear.
Tasha Polizzi vest
A fur vest is a great item for this fall and goes great with denim and colourful shirts or belted with a dress and boots. The vest above is a Tasha Polizzi design from Cowgirl Kim Unique Western Chic. This vest is faux, but you would never know looking at it and can almost not tell when you feel it’s so soft!
Love them or hate them, Uggs are back with these Maylin boots and an outer shearling cuff. Great for casual wear with tights or skinnies and so comfy that once you sink your feet in you won’t want to take them out!

Then there is one of my favourite stores Simons, who has a whole section called the Fur Factor dedicated to said products on their online store. Simons has provided me with numerous fur items over the years, hats, gloves, scarves and jackets. Yep they are officially my dealer!
And who can resist a furry throw for the couch, chair or bed. This one makes me want to curl up with a book and tea.

I do love the real fur but some of the faux fur does have the appearrance and texture of real.
Me too, my preference is always the real thing though!
I love fur, faux though… I didn’t always like it but this year I really want a fur vest to add to my wardrobe.
I know, it’s fun they have so many options this year and the faux is so great now you don’t need real!
