Love ’em or hate ’em the hazy days of summer have set in. Some find the heat stifling on our little prairie city, but I welcome the one week a year where you can sit out on your patio in the lingering temps, well into the night. Typically I wouldn’t do white pants during the work week, not only am I guaranteed to spill something within 5 minutes of putting them on but 30 degrees in cow town usually calls for airy dresses. But these white 501’s with this brilliant blue tank somehow made me feel pulled together and chic on a day when you feel like you’re going to melt.
I have to admit, I’ve felt my style shifting this summer. My style crush of late has been Jennifer Aniston, minimalistic, classic with a sexy twist. She always has that casual yet cool look. A concept which is great in theory when looking at Pinterest, but as I mentioned me in white pants=recipe for clumsy disasters. By 8:35 am I managed to land a gigantic coffee stain and another anonymous disaster on my knee that looked like I might have slide checked someone during a soccer match. Luckily for me a Tide pen saved the day once again when I decide white is a good idea. Something tells me my current style crush wouldn’t be carrying a Tide to go around though….
