Hitch’ n Post

My parents are extremely creative, artistically gifted people. So when I generate stick figuresque drawings and my highschool woodworking “make a box” assignment was a crumpled mess that I glued together, one can only think that I’m adopted. The Do It Yourself Du Jour is a Hitching Post. For those of you unfarmiliar a hitching post is used to tie a horse or animal and prevent it from straying- think the parking lot in front of a saloon in the old west.

So my parents sought out the perfect timber and created this artistic hitching post beside the house. I think it goes great with the rustic look of timber frame and river rock and makes a great Stampede post.
