My friend Dale recently put me on to some new antler art that we had to share with you. She is the proud owner of some gorgeous pottery that artist Shannon Butler creates at Kilnhouse Studio in Fort St. John British Columbia. Incorporating antlers, unique ceramic patterns and beautiful colours, Shannon created this gorgeous Mexican Antler Bucket that Dale has displayed in her home.
And when Dale’s boyfriend kindly gifted her with a pair of antlers from a buck he had shot 10 years ago, Shannon put together this beautiful custom piece for her.
Shannon works full-time as a ceramics artist and her aim is to create works that celebrate the nuances of life and the art of making things by hand. You can truly see that in the unique design she creates! To see more of her work, check her FB page and here are some more photos below. Thanks so much to Dale for letting us into her home and showing off her antler art!
What a unique find indeed. I know the focus here is on antler art (and it’s fabulous) but I’m so drawn to the mugs! Love em.
I know, I think they are so pretty which is why I had to include them!
