One of the hardest rooms to renovate and decorate for me has been the master bedroom. I’ve bounced back and forth on what I want it to look and “feel” like. Right off the bat I had a soft grey blue paint tone in mind. We painted it out in Benjamin Moore Metropolitan. The old oak trim was replaced with a pine and stained to give a more rustic look.
With all the wood and the dark antique furniture I have, I really wanted to strike a balance of masculine and feminine. And since I love textures, I wanted to have a layered look that would give a cozy yet elegant feel. I found a “perfect” rose toned velvet chair at Winners- and then I didn’t buy it! I’m still kicking myself, so the hunt for the perfect accent chair continues… Some of my other picks so far for the bedroom are:
3. Olde Bronze Multi Pendant Light
4. Horizontal Double Rib Throw
