A friend once told me that when they sat on the beach and listened to the ocean it brought them answers. It brought clarity or reinforcement to a mulled question or inevitably just peace in listening to the natural rhythm of the crashing waves.
The mountains have always served as my chapel. It’s a place of reflection and rejuvenation for me, sometimes I find the best way to start or sort out the end of a frenzied day is just to walk and watch the sun rise and hit the snow-capped peaks or listen to the wind or the birds. Now that’s it’s become a daily routine, I couldn’t imagine not having that counsel of mountain range to consult everyday.
And so I have pondered as yet another year since starting this blog has passed, what it is I am doing here? The answer that I have come to is for community and creativity. I’ve met some wonderful people so far in this journey that have both inspired me and offered friendship. My goal this year was to stretch my photography and improve on providing more genuine content that is more field to table, meaning less Pinterest images and mostly my own. So after many months of reflecting, this is what I am going to attempt. I appreciate everyone who has followed the blog along the journey we’ve taken and thank you for continuing to support it as we evolve.
Happy Friday All, xx
