It’s taken me most of the month to define my wishlist for April. With all the warm weather we’ve been having I’m already tempted to get started in the garden, which for anyone familiar with Calgary’s slow spring’s- May long weekend is generally the planting rule. So while I wait to get my patio ready I’ll share some of my recent whim’s and wishes for the upcoming months.
1. Bright Lace Shift Dress– Cheery and appropriate for work and spring events like a bridal or baby shower. Shop this Jessica Simpson one.
2. Neutral Bucket Bag– I love the utilitarian look of a bucket bag for spring/summer. Roomy enough to carry all your goods, this version from Banana Republic has me convinced it’s versatile enough to go from a casual weekend out to running to meetings during the week.
3. Wedges- I’m still loving the 70’s vibe that’s going on this summer and wedges are a perfect (and comfortable) way to add some height with those flare jeans. I like these ones from Jessica Simpson just because any shoe from this brand I have ever bought are really comfy.
4. One-Piece Swimsuits– Gone are the days of the traditional “momsuit”, there are so many cute one-pieces out there this season that I am loving just as much as a bikini. The cutouts on this Mara Hoffman suit flatter your hips and create the illusion of a narrower waist and has been highly coveted since Mindy Kaling shared her’s on Instagram.
5. Fun Garden Tools– As I mentioned I’m excited to get back into the garden and I love unique gardening tools. This turquoise dipped set would go great with the rest of my bright outdoor furniture.
6. Farmhouse Vase- Trying to lighten up the house for warmer weather, I found this mason jar vase with floral antler motif. The best part it has a perforated ceramic lid that keep blooms in their place for the perfect arrangement, every time.
7. Overalls- Love em’ or hate em’ (I’m team LOVE), overalls are in for spring and summer. Instead of the darker, wide leg versions from yesteryear, I’m loving the sleeker, distressed ones for summer that I can cuff and wear with a flat or a heel.
