Hunting small game can be challenging, hunting them with your bow narrows your odds that much more. I find it great practice as accurate shooting requires you to be able to draw, shoot and release quickly at a very small target. Grouse can be tricky because they are usually found in dense brush or wooded areas. Hunting grouse can be a great way to pass the time when you are hiking through the woods looking for bigger game this fall- plus they are so tasty to eat. Here is my favourite recipe to-date that I’ve tried with Ruffed Grouse in Port & Onions.
