Babaton Silk Dress | Ashfield Hobo Bag | Jadde Booties
I mentioned in the fall that we made the decision to step out of downtown after many years and change the office up to a more rural setting. No more fighting traffic or paying a zillion dollars a month for parking, and a much more causal tone was set for the work place attire. Which once again makes me question what to wear to work? I now have the creative freedom with my wardrobe at the office, except on those days I’m meeting clients at their office.
So aside from my denim staples, I’m loving this silk shirt dress that I can transition from fall, winter to spring and even throughout the day and still feel put together. Plus it’s on SALE at the moment, so that’s a major bonus. Paired with a polished hobo bag with a touch of edge and booties versus pumps, I’m feeling a little more in my element than what my typical workwear at the old office would be. However now it will be the careful balance of how far do you go, where I once looked in my closet and felt like all I had to wear was work clothes and nothing for casual attire, I sense the pendulum could swing quickly the other direction. Which makes me think I should implement a rule of wearing a dress at least once or twice a week?
Which makes me ask if anyone is in a similar situation? How do you manage your work style in a casual environment to still be professional yet fun?
