This year I feel that I’m revamping my closet for a lighter, more neutral palette. I’m less inclined to the bright colors I’ve been drawn to in the past, but one thing that is still feeding my love of patterns yet stays in the lane of being a neutral is snakeskin print.
It can be seen in pretty much every iteration of fashion this spring, from boots to bags and bold trenches. I’ve found myself indulging in the snake print trend in boots and now this flowing midi dress that I found a few weeks back at Marshalls. I’m loving this romantic version of the animalistic print and I like adding my own western flare with some white turquoise, concho belt and a pale lilac hat.
Unlike leopard print (where I find the print/pattern so variable), I think snakeskin is a neutral that I can incorporate into my wardrobe with ease. This dress I can see transitioning with sandals and straw beach bag on vacation, or throwing on a leather jacket and some taller booties by the time fall rolls around. If anything it’s one versatile print that I think anyone would love to mix things up with their wardrobe and probably one of my top picks for spring. If you’re looking for some fun, inexpensive pieces to try out the trend I would suggest H&M, Zara, Winner’s, Target or Marshall’s!
