Weekends always seem to bring a clean out the fridge and take stock moment in which case I always notice what’s been hidden or gone unused in my crisper. Green onions seem to always be one of these things that I’ll buy and forget to use or by the time I need them are a green wilting mess and subsequently I won’t use them. Until I was told the nifty little trick to regrow them. Just trim back the wilted green stems, submerge the white root end into water and place in the windowsill or sunlight. In 7 to 10 days you’ll have the regrowth on the green stalks that you can trim and use in your cooking!
