Lately I’ve been a fan of Dark Chocolate, I thought this time instead of a solo treat, I could mix it up and make Dark Chili Chocolate & Cherry Granola Bars. Lindt makes dark chocolate bars infused with red chili or sea salt, for this recipe I combine half a bar each.
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line an 8-in pan with criss-crossing pieces of parchment paper that overhang slightly to create handles. Combine the following ingredients:
2/3 cup liquid honey
2 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups Quick Oats
3/4 cup chopped Pecans
3/4 cup Slivered Almonds
1/2 cup Dried and Sweetened Cherries
1/2 cup dark chocolate (Lindt Dark Chili & Sea Salt)
Press firmly into prepped pan (*A tip-dip your hands in cold water before pressing mixture into the pan) and bake for 22 to 25 min until golden. Let cool before lifting out of pan with handles. Enjoy as a snack on the ski hill or after dinner with a glass of port!
