Last week my goddaughter turned 1 and to celebrate my mom (i’m not even going to pretend I did anything) volunteered to fulfill my vision of making her a play teepee. I really wanted to get her one last summer when she was only a couple months old, but it was a bit too soon. And even though I won’t unveil on the blog until her mom has had time to style it and take the shots she wants, I wanted to show some of the inspiration we had along the way in our design.
To make our teepee look more like authentic canvas, we used a painters drop cloth for the body of the teepee. The entry flaps a soft grey chevron print and silver feather motif, and of course there had to be pom poms! Overall I love how it turned out, I hope the little goose comes to enjoy it just as much and has many adventures camping out in her new abode.
