My friend Jen was out on the town with her hubby this week and they are designated foodies. The thing I love is after one of their date days they usually have great suggestions on new places to check out in the city and what’s best to order there. Here’s their take on Una Pizzeria ….
“My husband Drew and I love to have Monday’s and Tuesday’s off together because it allows us to roam the city like we own it. No waiting in lines and the severs are grateful for filling their empty seats. Today we ventured to Una on 17th at the recomendation of Drew’s chef at Teatro. A hip and foodie pizza place with very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is cool yet approachable, it was busy even on a Monday at 2:00pm. Think dynamic art with hip and attentive servers. The food met our high expectations, we ordered the Swiss Chard pizza and it was delectable. To pair with the pizza I had their house Syrah by Les Jamelles and Drew had a Sauvignon Blanc also by Les Jamelles. Drew said his wine paired well and had an earthy tone with sweet apricot notes and a smooth honey finish.”
