Today as I was sitting in a boardroom meeting, the discussion of fashion and formality came up. As always being the only female in the room, I found the banter quite humorous. “Well in Houston, you can’t get away wearing slacks and a dress shirt… In Denver you could wear golf shorts and a t-shirt for all they cared…in London it’s a suit all the way but I really like wearing them to work, it makes me feel polished..” As the men kept going I started to feel a bit sad, being a man must be REALLY boring in terms of fashion selection and creativity, but I digress..
Suddenly one spots me across the table, “but you’re wearing jeans! For the second day in a row!” Yes it’s been one of those haphazard weeks, where I have been throwing on jeans and going. However throw on a blazer and exchange the slouchy bag for a sleek structured one and they didn’t even notice my rolled up skinny jeans. I found the great ladylike bag in a thrift store for a whopping $5- just don’t tell that to the guy who likes to wear suits!

I’m always surprised when people notice when I wear something new or got a haircut or wear something more often. Especially jeans….to me they look alsways the same 🙂
