Happy National Rosé Day! Sometimes there’s nothing better than a nice frozen beverage on a warm summer day. I recently had an “adult slurpee” on a patio a few weeks back and that’s when I became obsessed with making a Frosé (Frozen Rosé) drink at home. Since I’m a simple cocktail fan, I love this recipe because all you need is watermelon, a bottle of Rosé, ice cubes and a blender.
Last weekend when it promised to be a gorgeous day, I poured the bottle into a freezer proof container in the morning and headed out to do my errands and yard work. Later that afternoon, I came back and cubed up 1 1/2 cups of seedless watermelon and blended it up with some ice cubes and left in the freezer for another hour or two. Once cocktail time rolled around I combine the semi frozen Rosé with the watermelon and blended one more time. And voila! The drink is super refreshing and the flamingo straw makes you feel like a kid again. I think this one will be on repeat this summer 🙂
