One of G2’s many ventures is his waterfowl outfit in Saskatchewan; G2 Blackstone Waterfowl Safaris. The area is in the heart of the central flyway and thick with Specklebellies, Snows, Ross, Blues, Canada Geese, Sandhill Cranes. In addition to that there is a great opportunity for upland game bird hunting, something I have been persisting him to start doing for a couple of years now. The huge community pastures make for great upland country and my vision would be to combine it with horses so as to cover more ground. Maybe a longshot but what fun would it be to hunt upland and waterfowl conveniently in one spot? We’ll head out end of September/ beginning of October which is always a great time. Even better I’m thinking some ladies hunts for next year should be in order, what’s more fun than shotguns, wine and great food?

Looks like so much fun! How cold does it get while y’all are hunting ducks up there? Stunning lab!
Around October it can be a balmy 50 degree’s during the day to a cooler 10 in the mornings and evenings (I converted to Fahrenheit for ya 🙂 It usually doesn’t get to
-4 until mid-end of November.
Wow 10 degrees in the morning? I’d freeze my tailfeathers off! You are one tough chick!
No! Just lots of layers and warm stuff. I’m on the constant hunt for anything warm, I also use those toe and fingers warmers- if you are sitting for a while it helps!!
