Jacket | Leggings | Boots | Socks
I think it’s safe to say we’ve been ready for the first official day of winter for awhile. The temps have been in the deep freeze, conveniently right when the holiday guests started showing up. Among activities I like to take people to do when they come to visit is hiking or sightseeing in the mountains. With the weather being somewhat formidable, sometimes this calls for a relaxation of plans. If you’re looking to bundle up and get out of the house, Elbow Falls just west of Calgary is a quick little trip into the foothills. It’s a easy walk down a manicured path from the parking lot to a pretty view scape of the river and falls that’s pet friendly and even grandma can go! Plus if it’s chilly, you can go for a quick tour, snap some photos and head back to the charming town of Bragg Creek to warm up with some lunch or a hot chocolate. Or if you really get after the hiking, some carb loading at the Italian Farmhouse is always recommended. And my outfit of the day I would call cold weather chic. These winter running leggings and a down parka are the ticket when out touring around for the day!
