In my opinion crafting should be a fun, relatively stress free event, however according to Pinterest and other sites, everyone is a regular Martha Stewart these days, making some of us feel somewhat inadequate. So as one of the DIY challenged I’m going to share my stress free crafting method that led to me creating this outdoor decor that I have dubbed my “Duck Blind Wreath”.
My method is relatively straight forward and what I like to call the STS (sh$t to sh$t) process. The STS process is quite simple, you must glue random or chosen objects to another random or chosen object. Ok so to break that down on how I made this wreath, here are the steps:
- Pour yourself a glass of wine (this first step is VERY Important)
- Plug in your glue gun (make sure you have lots of glue and something non-flammable underneath)
- Place random objects prior to gluing unless you prefer abstract, then just start gluing.
- Make sure you have secured all items so that they can withstand wind and weather (read- use more glue).
- Hang your creation and admire it with another glass of wine.
And with that simple method I created this new wreath for the front door. Originally I was going to incorporate antler sheds however as they were too heavy it was outside of the STS method so I opted for a game bird look instead. So there you have it! Hope you all have a fun time with your fall decor!
STS looks great!!
Thanks! All thanks to your coaching!
