Today was a touring day, we went up to Honolulu Bay and the rest of the family proceeded to snorkel. At one point a women was screaming with excitement because she thought she spotted a shark, prompting all other snorkelers to become panicked. From my shaded viewpoint nursing my third degree burns I was delighted. The bright point of today, I found I really love my Vibram Five Fingers shoes, although they may not be the most fashionable, I can wear them surfing, running or even walking over rough rocky beach such as today.
After a great day of watching the fun in the sun I couldn’t resist jumping on the surf board for just one ride- although I’m sure I peeled the next to last layer of epidermis off my legs. I’m told the best outdoor/water sport sunscreen is called Doc Martin’s SPF 30 and is readily available at the surf shops or on the internet if you want to preplan.
